MiLaysia Fulwiley may have already left South Carolina for SEC rival LSU, but the elite guard is still in a high-profile relationship with Gamecocks track and field star JaMeesia Ford. They are still considered one of the most high-profile LGBTQ+ couples in college sports despite Fulwiley leaving South Carolina. The two still support one another despite being at rival schools.
It was evident when Ford punched her ticket to the 2026 NCAA Track and Field Championships for the 100m dash on Saturday. This is the track and field equivalent of March Madness and the College Football Playoff, so qualifying is already an achievement in itself.
This soon led MiLaysia Fulwiley to react to her girlfriend’s qualification on her Instagram stories, dropping a caption showing she had full confidence in her girlfriend making it to the big dance.
“Duh,” she wrote along with a few emojis.

MiLaysia Fulwiley has publicly supported Ford during her track career. She was there for Ford when she signed an NIL deal with running apparel company HOKA, as well as at her various track meets.
What Is Next For MiLaysia Fulwiley? FIBA 3×3 World cup With Team USA
As JaMeesia Ford prepares for the NCAA Track and Field Championships, MiLaysia Fulwiley is with Team USA for the 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Warsaw, Poland, which runs from June 1-7. There, she will reunite with former Gamecocks teammate Joyce Edwards for flag and country.
Joining Fulwiley on the USA Basketball women’s 3×3 roster will be her LSU teammate Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams. All these players are from the SEC and were chosen by Team USA managing director Elena Delle Donne. They will be coached by former Stanford standout Christina Batastini.
This would be an interesting reunion, as Edwards and Fulwiley played together under Dawn Staley during the 2024-2025 season, with it being Edwards’ breakout year.
