It was a moment of pride for MiLaysia Fulwiley as her girlfriend JaMeesia Ford also signed a deal with LSU to join the program and represent them in the track and field division. To celebrate, Fulwiley shared her thoughts on Instagram.
Fulwiley wrote “thereeee she gooo” on her Instagram story with emojis to welcome Ford to the LSU family, knowing that this means potentially more time together as a couple as they will be in the same program for at least one season.
Meanwhile, LSU welcomed Ford to the family with open arms on social media.
JaMeesia Ford joins LSU with a lot of pedigree. She is a three-time NCAA Champion and nine-time SEC Champion, joining LSU after spending three seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks, where MiLaysia Fulwiley also spent a large part of her basketball career.
Ford is a sprinter competing across several categories with her personal best time in the 100m sprint being 10.87 seconds.
The Strong Bond Between MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMeesia Ford
MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMeesia Ford have a strong relationship, with the couple willing to share details of how they got together in the first place. They met at South Carolina, and it didn’t take long before a connection was made.
“I liked her outfit,” Fulwiley said to the State in 2024, “because she had this ‘schoolgirl’ look. She had on a skirt, and she looked like she was going to class. And I had on my sweats.
“I got to know her off the track,So once I’d seen how she was on the track…I was like, ‘Wow, she’s almost as great of a person on the track as she is off the track.’”
The sky is the limit for both their personal and professional lives.
