Who Is Kim Mulkey’s Son, Kramer Robertson? All We Know About LSU HC’s Personal Life

The Louisiana State Tigers have had a fruitful season so far with an overall record of 22-3 and an SEC record of 8-3. A major chunk of the Louisiana-based side’s success could be attributed to their head coach, Kim Mulkey, as they head into what could be their biggest challenge of the regular season against SEC leaders South Carolina Gamecocks.

The four-time national championship-winning coach, despite beating the Gamecocks twice during her time with the Baylor Bears, has yet to defeat Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley in LSU colors, something that could potentially change at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Mulkey, who is the first person in NCAA history to have won the national championship as a player, assistant, and coach, is synonymous with her on-court success and historic stories. However, Mulkey’s homely life too has a lot of sports influence, which includes her son, Kramer Robertson. Let’s take a look at the legendary basketball head coach’s personal and familial life.

    Who Is Kim Mulkey’s Son?

Sport runs in Mulkey’s household, and a major example of that is her son Kramer Robertson, a former LSU shortstop who played for the Tigers for four years. During his tenure with the Louisiana-based side, Kramer featured in a total of 212 games, which included 180 starts, 45 doubles, and 11 home runs, combined with a batting average of .292.

His college baseball success also caught the eyes of the MLB franchise, the St. Louis Cardinals, who drafted him in the 4th round back in 2017. After being a part of the Braves and Mets in the major league, Robertson also represented the Triple-A Memphis in the minor league, eventually calling it quits on his baseball career in 2023.

Off the field, Kramer has now found a new role as the performance analyst of the LSU Tigers, joining his alma mater back in January 2025. His newfound role entails analyzing competition and recruiting success rates in the context of LSU and the other teams.

After getting married back in 1987, Mulkey shares two children, namely son Kramer and daughter Makenzie, with her ex-husband Randy Robertson.
