UConn Huskies forward Sarah Strong is getting back on the court after their heartbreaking loss to South Carolina in the Final Four. This time, however, she is teasing that she will be receiving her own Jordan Brand PEs. She posted photos of herself in action on Instagram, but the shoes she was wearing were blurred out, hinting that she will have her own sneakers out very soon.
For now, these mystery Sarah Strong sneakers have not been fully revealed. It could be a special colorway of an existing Jordan Brand or Nike shoe, or it could be a brand new design entirely. They are certainly keeping them under wraps for now, though the colors appear to be pinkish red and black in design.
Sarah Strong inked a brand deal with Jordan Brand back in November 2025. She says that being chosen to be an ambassador for the brand is a “huge honor. She is the only female athlete that signed with the Jordan Brand at that time, with the brand also signing Syracuse freshman Kiyan Anthony, and Duke freshmen Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer.
Like Anthony and the Boozer Twins, she is also a legacy player, with her mother being former WNBA star Allison Feaster and her father being former NC State star Danny Strong.
Loss vs. South Carolina Hit Sarah Strong Hard, Says Geno Auriemma
During the NCAA Tournament, Sarah Strong averaged 18 points and 8.6 rebounds in 33.8 minutes per game. However, that loss to South Carolina frustrated her. She finished with a double-double, but the South Carolina defense on her gave her her career-worst field goal percentage and was just 4-for-16 on the floor.
As a result, head coach Geno Auriemma told her to rest soon after the Huskies were eliminated, not just to cool her emotions, but also give her body a break.
“I think there was a variety of emotions. You know, anger was one, frustration was one, disappointment was another one. I keep coming back to those words,” he said. “She always feels like she’s letting the team down when she doesn’t do what she’s supposed to do and what she thinks she’s capable of doing. So, that was all right on display the entire time.”
With Azzi Fudd now in the WNBA, Sarah Strong will become the new focus of Auriemma’s squad, so he has to ensure his star player is ready both mentally and physically.
