LOOK: Flau’jae Johnson Dresses in Chic Blue Outfit in New York City Ahead of 2026 WNBA Draft Ft. Chanel Bag Worth Over $3,500

Flau’jae Johnson is in New York for the 2026 WNBA Draft. The event takes place at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York and is broadcast exclusively on ESPN, with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Johnson is projected to be a top 10 pick in the draft. As a strong two-way guard, she is placed between No. 5 and No. 10 in several mock drafts. Johnson offers elite athleticism, solid perimeter defender, and is highly effective in transition with a strong mid-range game.

Before the draft, Johnson went out in the city, wearing a stylish blue outfit and carrying a Chanel bag worth over $3,500.

“‘Twas the night before the draft,” she captioned her post on X.

Some of the best basketball players in the country will officially enter the WNBA today. Players are excited for this opportunity, and they’re also looking forward to making a style statement on the orange carpet tonight.

Johnson has successfully balanced her basketball and music career so far. A few days before the draft, she shot a music video on top of the Empire State Building. During a recent interview, she was asked what it means to her.

“A lot. I never even knew what this building was. I mean, I knew it was the Empire State Building, but now I’m learning the history and seeing all the photos of the celebrities that came here and did their thing. I am pretty fired up to be in that group of people. Not everybody gets to come up here, so that’s cool. It makes you see everything different,” she said.

Her new song is called “Woah,” and it’s about a new beginning and the moment she’s having right now.

Flau’jae Johnson is Proud of Her Commitment

During the interview, Johnson was asked what she feels most proud of when she looks back at her college career. She joined the LSU Tigers in 2023 and won the NCAA Championship in 2023. She also won SEC Freshman of the Year and made three All-SEC teams.

“The commitment. Even just like staying all four years, a lot of players, they don’t do that now. The transfer portal is jumping. So just the commitment to excellence every day. That’s why I wasn’t sad when I left LSU, because I really gave everything I had,” she said.

Johnson said that she was chasing her dreams, and she didn’t have a social life because she dedicated most of her time to things she was passionate about.
