Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks had a huge matchup against the 17th-ranked school in women’s college basketball. The matchup was so big that College Gameday traveled and set up a set onsite to cover the game.
Before the contest, Staley, who is the head coach of the team and a former basketball player herself, made an appearance on the ESPN program, joining three others at the desk. An alternate view of the appearance on College Gameday showed what she was wearing from an on-site perspective in an X clip posted by reporter Michael Sauls.
“Crowd going crazy for Dawn Staley’s appearance on College GameDay,” Sauls posted.
Staley showed up wearing Gamecock colors in the form of a redish-brown windbreaker with a white undershirt that had a hood. Her pants were the same color as the majority of the rest of her outfit.
The third-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks woke up on Sunday with just three games left on the calendar.

The penultimate game will take place against the unranked Missouri Tigers on Thursday. The final game on the schedule will see the Gamecocks face the team’s highest-ranked opponent since it faced the seventh-ranked LSU Tigers on Feb. 14.
The last game of the season for the 26-2 Gamecocks will take place a week from Sunday on Mar. 1 at 2:00 pm EST against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats are 20-7 and currently riding a two-game winstreak. Both teams will face an unranked opponent heading into the final game of the season.
