Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong have a special, funny, witty and playful bond. Their relationship is a sweet one and fans absolutely adore them for it. South Carolina’s squad is often called Dawn Staley’s daycare, but for Geno Auriemma it is always about handling some of the most chaotic stars.
Even when Paige Bueckers was there, the Huskies always seemed to playfully mess with Geno and Coach Auriemma always returned the favor. Whether it be in practice, or press conferences, there is always some banter going on between the squad. Recently, Azzi Fudd made a joke about Sarah Strong’s mom Allison Feaster to which Strong did not know how to respond.
“I love when your mom is courtside. It’s my favorite. Courtside baddie. She is a courtside baddie,” Azzi Fudd said to Sarah Strong.
Strong made a weird expression and replied, “No!” This was all in good fun of course, as this was another instance when Azzi Fudd was able to mess with her teammate.
Both Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong have been in tremendous form this season. Fudd is averaging her career best numbers with 17.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
Sarah Strong is averaging 19.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 20 games played so far. The duo is one of the major reasons for UConn’s 21-0 unbeaten start.
Azzi Fudd Plans a Band With Sarah Strong, KK Arnold And UConn Teammates
Azzi Fudd, Sarah Strong, KK Arnold and the Huskies in a band? That could be a reality someday. Fudd heaped a lot of praise on Sarah Strong and then claimed they are going to be in a band during an appearance on “Fudd Around and Find Out” on Friday.
“Fun fact, Sarah’s good at absolutely everything that she tries. And she’s also the fastest learner at everything,” Fudd said at 8:05. “Wait, did you teach herself how to play piano as well? Yeah. Okay. So, she taught herself how to play piano. She’s teaching herself how to play guitar. taught herself how to do a Rubik’s cube and those fingers to do a Rubik’s cube.”
Co-host Ashanti Parker called Strong ‘Baby Genius’ and Azzi Fudd then said they are going to be in a band. Fudd then wondered what the band name will be called:
“You’re going to play guitar. You can teach me how to play piano. KK’s going to be the dancer and singer. Serah Williams can also be a dancer.”
Strong replied, “Serah cannot dance.” Fudd continued, “She can’t sing either.”
Strong said, “Um, I really don’t know.” Fudd asked, “What’s K is gonna do?” Parker joined the conversation and joked, “Hype man over here.”
The three laughed and Azzi Fudd said about the band name:
“We’re taking requests or not requests, suggestions. We’re taking suggestions. So, if you have a good any ideas, drop it in the comments.”
