“She Lame For This”: Angel Reese Slammed by Fans For Blocking Rapper Gmac Cash Over Pistons-Magic Banter

Angel Reese is a hot topic in the WNBA, but this time, she was at the center of an NBA incident. The Atlanta Dream forward shared her feelings at several points in the NBA’s Round 1 series between the Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magic, as her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., is part of the Magic roster. Interestingly, her former partner, Jalen Duren, plays for the Pistons, which gave her all the more reason to slam the opposing team.

Reese even shared a story of Carter Jr. dunking over Duren in Game 1. However, after the Pistons won Game 2 and levelled the series 1-1, rapper Gmac Cash asked the forward to play his song on social media. The music artist has a song, Pistons Won Again, which is even considered a lucky charm for the team and played every time the team wins at home.

However, Reese responded to Gmac Cash’s request with a block on Instagram, clarifying her loyalty in this series. Fans were not pleased by her actions and criticized her in the comment section. One stated that the rapper said nothing in bad taste or disrespectful to the WNBA player and wrote:

    “She lame for this…

I can see if he said something disrespectful…”

Another fan mocked her response and wrote:

“She blocked everybody in Detroit that mentioned her even me”

One more Pistons fan commented in anger that she picked the wrong city to talk smack about and wrote:

“People defending her too as if she didn’t insert herself the first possible second she could. Picked the wrong city if she thought that was gonna slide”

One more user tried to mock her choice, as Duren has had an All-Star season and wrote:

“She blocked me too for saying she hurt cause Duren bout to get paid $250+ million and her new nigga just a role player”

Another fan berated Reese for getting offended after throwing a jab at the Pistons during their Game 1 loss and wrote:

“guess she can dish out the hate but when it’s returned she can’t handle it. These professional athletes have gotten so soft in the social media era. It’s honestly comical at this point”

Michelle Obama backs Angel Reese amid online criticism

Angel Reese is often subjected to online hate and trolls due to her rivalry with Indiana Fever guard and standout player, Caitlin Clark. When Reese was recently featured on the IMO podcast, alongside Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the US did not hesitate to warn the naysayers not to mess with the forward.

    Obama said:

“You’re a special, special person, and I am saying that to the world, don’t mess with this girl, don’t mess with her spirit. Do not mess with this angel. Stop it, just stop it!”

The Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark rivalry will be on full display when the new season kicks off on May 8.
