    Caitlin Clark Shares Her True Feelings on Cathy Engelbert With a Subtle Message

    Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have been at the center of a lot of controversies during the course of the season. Specifically, Clark and teammate Sophie Cunningham have been talked about more than anyone else. Clark’s issues with officiating has been a major talking point in the WNBA. By extension, her relationship with the WNBA leadership has also become a major talking point.

    After the WNBA All-Star game, Clark was asked about how she sees her bond with the leadership and league office. The Fever star was honest about who she talks with in the WNBPA and how much communication there is.

    “I think I communicate mostly with probably like Nneka [Ogwumike] and player leadership more than anything. And I try to do the best I can. I always wanna be respectful of everybody and treat everybody with kindness. I think that’s really important. But at the same time relationships are very important to me. And I think we can always improve in that area because it seems like a lot of things, I think communication can improve overall,” Clark said.

    “Me and Adam [Silver] have a great relationship. I know he was there supporting us so that was great. We’ll just probably continue to improve in that area. communication and relationships solve a lot of issues and a lot of problems. And WNBA leadership has created a lot of positives for this league too and that should be celebrated. And Cathy has also brought a lot to this league and helped us reach new milestones… but there’s always room for improvement,” she said.

    A’ja Wilson mocks her relationship with Cathy Engelbert

    Caitlin Clark wasn’t the only player who was asked about her relationship with the WNBA leadership. Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson also talked about her relationship with the WNBA commissioner. However, she did not take the Clark route.

    Wilson said that there is no personal or close bond with Engelbert. She joked about how the only time she meets Engelbert is when she hands Wilson awards. This is why she loves meeting her.

    A’ja Wilson played 14 minutes in the All-Star game. She had 12 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. She helped Team Spoon win 129-122.
