Former player-turned-analyst Dan Dakich has given some bold opinions on the Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White scenario. HC Steph caught a lot of flak after the Fever suffered a humiliating 84-100 loss to the Portland Fire in their last game. Moreover, a video of Clark and the HC went viral after the game, where the two were seen in a heated exchange on the bench. Shutting down any parallels to Michael Jordan, the analyst ripped into Clark for her “bi**hing”.
On his show, DON’T@ME!, Dakich sounded off on Clark’s recent verbal scuffles with officials that have extended even to the Fever bench, between her and the head coach.
“When you watch her, you get really tired of it. And people say, ‘Well, Jordan did that,’ she ain’t Jordan. And Jordan didn’t do dribbling down the court bi**hing literally on every single call, bi**hing at her coaches, bi**hing at everybody, it got in-depth.”
Dakich went on to call out Clark with his rant and believed that “nobody was smarter in women’s basketball than Steph White.” He also claimed that the head coach knew what went down with Clark and Christie Sides earlier, and thus Steph wanted to keep things under control.
With Clark bringing eyeballs to the sport, several fans have compared her to what Jordan did for the NBA. She is also one of the most offensively gifted players in the league ever, which has led to such conversations around her. However, Dakich just felt that she wasn’t being a team player and backed the Fever HC for her actions. He also addressed Clark’s statement on the viral moment.

Caitlin Clark addressed the media after the moment went viral in the WNBA world. Several analysts have talked about the emotion and how that has been a pattern with Clark this season. Her verbal scuffles with officials have been talked about since the start of the season.
Dakich said:
“Look, that’s one thing to say when you don’t see it publicly. Somebody told her what to say… She (Steph) can’t stand you (Clark) and rightfully so. I guarantee you. I mean, she knows you got rid of Christie Sides, who is a Coach of the Year in the WNBA. She knows that you’re a diva.”
Other analysts have also stated that the fact that the heated exchange occurred in public makes it more than just another competitive instance. On the other hand, Fever fans hope and have requested the team on social media to sort things out before the season slips away.
