Rapper Kid Cudi Accepts Indiana Fever’s Request to Sit Courtside to Watch Caitlin Clark & Co. Amid Historic News

Caitlin Clark has the knack of attracting eyeballs wherever she goes. She was recently awarded the MVP honors for Team USA’s 5-0 run in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. Interestingly, she returned to the court after spending one and a half years off the court due to a groin injury. And now, even American rapper Kid Cudi has become a fan of the Iowa native.

After averaging 11.4 points and 6.4 assists in her debut run with the senior national team, Clark shared a humble post on social media, writing:

“fun being back out there 🇺🇸⭐️

    always an honor💙 @usabasketball”

Singer and songwriter Kid Cudi took to the comment section to support the Indiana Fever guard in her national stint and wrote:

    “Lets go!! 🔥🔥🔥”

Clark’s WNBA team, the Indiana Fever, wasted no time and invited the Rapper to one of the Fever’s games in the new season to their home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cudi, in response, accepted the invitation and marked his schedule to be available for the Fever’s next regular-season home game. He wrote:

“@indianafever done. Looked up the schedule. Im there!”

Caitlin Clark’s post on Instagram was filled with comments from fans, celebrities, and fellow hoopers. WNBA players like Aliyah Boston, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, and others commented on the post.

When will Caitlin Clark and Co. play their first regular-season home game?

Earlier, there were speculations that the 2026 WNBA season could be delayed due to the new CBA negotiations, but WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert has assured that the schedule will remain the same. Hence, the regular season will begin on May 8, 2026, and the Indiana Fever will host the Dallas Wings in the season-opener at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Most probably, this will be the game when Kid Cudi might be sitting courtside, witnessing the sharpshooter in action.

In the 2025 season, the two teams met four times, and the Fever was victorious on three occasions. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year played just one game of those four games, in which she scored 14 points and dished out 13 assists, along with five steals and one block. The rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers will be something WNBA fans have long anticipated.

The Wings have the top overall pick in the 2026 draft, and they might look to bolster their frontcourt to help Paige Bueckers. Someone like Awa Fam or Lauren Betts might be able to fulfil their needs. However, for now, a lot of the teams’ decisions will depend on how the expansion draft will go. Only time will reveal the new face of the WNBA in the coming months.
