Paige Bueckers Draws Comparisons To $160,380,000 Lakers Star As Analyst Declares Dallas Wings Candidate For WNBA Championship

Paige Bueckers has been wowing basketball audiences ever since she stepped on a basketball court during her freshman year at the UConn Huskies, and has taken the lessons learned under Geno Auriemma to the WNBA after being picked up by the Dallas Wings last year.

Such has been her success that it has prompted a whole new era in women’s basketball, and comparisons with NBA stars was always the next step towards recognizing her greatness, which is why it isn’t shocking when Chiney Ogwumike sees similarities with Luka Doncic.

“Yo, the IQ on Paige, the savvy, because it’s the only—I hate using whatever, but we’re going to do it,” Ogwumike said on Sue Bird’s YouTube show at the 38 minute mark.

“You know Luka Doncic is going to get to a certain spot and knock down the shot. You know he’s going to hit you with this at his own tempo. You still can’t stop it. You know Paige is going to read at her pace…Dallas is real, and they’re going to be better than what even I expected.”

While Paige Bueckers has already ushered in a new era for women’s basketball with more lucrative contracts for athletes, especially via her involvement in the Unrivaled tournament, it’s still a drop in the ocean when compared to the millions being earned by NBA stars.

Luka Doncic signed a three-year $160,380,000 deal of his own, and while Bueckers isn’t matching that anytime soon, she’s certainly setting the standard of what the future holds for women’s basketball.

Paige Bueckers Setting Records Even Off the Court

Paige Bueckers is killing it on the court for Dallas Wings but even away from the arenas she’s captivating fans and by the looks of things, even memorabilia collectors.

It is being reported that Bueckers’ Wings jersey from her debut game last year sold for a whopping $64,720, setting no less than a WNBA record. The sale is a sign of the rising women’s game and at the front of it all is the uber talented Paige Bueckers.
