Olivia Miles Almost Breaks Paige Bueckers’ Impressive Rookie Record

Olivia Miles showed out vs the Golden State Valkyries as the Minnesota Lynx emerged victorious. It was a close game and both teams really gave it their all. Minnesota trailed Golden State by 2 points at half time. However, Miles and co came out strong in the second half to win 87-84.

Miles scored 28 points with 4 rebounds and 7 assists in 28 minutes. This superior display included shooting 9 of 16 from the field and 8 of 11 from three. She surpassed Caitlin Clark’s rookie record for most threes in a game. Moreover, she was also about to break Paige Bueckers’ rookie record as well.

Olivia Miles’ 7 assists amounted up to 16 points and her 28 points adds up to 44 points. She has now scored or assisted 317 points in first 10 games of her rookie season. That is just 1 point behind Paige Bueckers, who has the most by any player in WNBA history.

Miles has been in tremendous form this season. She has well and truly proved herself to be worthy of that No. 2 draft pick. Many even believe that she deserved the top spot.
