Monique Billings has been heavily rumored to join the Indiana Fever. The team is looking to add players to the squad in the offseason, especially in the frontcourt.
Forbes WNBA reporter Roberta Rodrigues shared that Billings might soon sign a deal with the Fever:
“Monique Billings took a meeting with the New York Liberty but should sign with the Indiana Fever, I’m being told.”
A few hours earlier, Billings shared a cryptic post on X, hinting that she might be on the move.
Fans in the comment section speculated that she was moving to Indiana. One wrote:
“I’m so excited! You are so much fun to watch play. I love how hard you get after it! You’re going to be such a great Fever addition!”

Billings was picked in the second round of the 2018 WNBA draft by the Atlanta Dream and played the majority of her career with them. She was picked by the Golden State Valkyries in the 2025 expansion draft as an unrestricted free agent.
The 6-foot-4 forward is a hard worker, runs the floor and plays intense defense. She could be an efficient backup forward for the team.
Kelsey Mitchell, Caitlin Clark and Monique Billings trio might work in Indiana
Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark’s one-two punch has been fun to watch for Fever fans. However, there is not much depth beyond the pair. Adding Monique Billings to the mix could help the Fever, especially when Boston is off the court. The team already has an elite guard in Kelsey Mitchell, who led the franchise in scoring last season when Clark was out.
Mitchell also has a good bond with Billings, as was evident during Unrivaled. Mitchell once praised the forward’s mindset and competitiveness, saying:
“She got in my face in a confident way and she was just like we got a chance to win it, I want you to win it for us.”
Moreover, Clark enjoyed playing with Billings during their stint with Team USA in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
