WNBA teams are fighting tooth and nail during free agency, trying to grab the best picks for the 2026 season, and the Indiana Fever have just upped the game. The team has announced a massive 108,000 sq. ft. facility in Indianapolis, set to be the WNBA’s largest. The franchise shared interior renderings of the property, and fans have hailed the timing of the announcement.
As per the Fever’s official website, the three-storey training center, worth $78 million, will have several integrated features to help players with their performance, recovery, lifestyle, and build team chemistry. It’s located near the Fever’s home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and might be inaugurated before the 2027 season.
While talking about the lavish sports infrastructure, Indiana Fever Team President Kelly Krauskopf said:
“Every element of this facility has been intentionally designed around our players including how they train, recover, connect and live day to day. This will set a new standard for women’s sports and continue to position Indianapolis at the center of that momentum.”
The team also shared a video on social media, revealing the interiors and luxurious features of the project. Fans commented on the announcement’s timing, suggesting it would attract free agents to the franchise. One wrote:
“Every single free agent should be looking at the fever!”
Another user commented on the same line and invited free agents to Indiana:
“Great timing on this video, come on down, free agents!”
The 2026 WNBA free agency began with a massive update on Angel Reese’s trade that shocked many fans and analysts. Meanwhile, players have been travelling to different cities to talk with the management and find the best-suited destination before they enter the next era of women’s basketball.
Meanwhile, the Fever’s upcoming real estate project is sure to lure free agents to come and be part of one of the most happening places. The management has planned the facility with players’ feedback, keeping their needs in mind.
Aliyah Boston hailed the franchise for investing in players’ well-being and creating a space that includes light-filled dual practice courts, a recovery suite, a gathering area for players to celebrate and showcase the franchise’s legacy and achievements, a luxurious locker room, a well-designed and chef-driven nutritional plan, and amenities for lifestyle and support for team staff. And Caitlin Clark has already chosen her favorite spot.

The Indianapolis basketball facility, which began construction in the summer of 2025, will also feature premium activity corners for players to blow off steam. One of those caught the attention of the team’s superstar, Caitlin Clark, who is a big-time golf fan.
The 2024 Rookie of the Year took to her Instagram account and shared her favorite spot on her story with a caption:
“find me here.”

Clark has often expressed her love for golf and was also seen at some Pro-Am golf events earlier during her hiatus from basketball. Fans will have to wait and see if the new facility will attract some talented free agents to the city and bring the Fever their second championship before inaugurating the actual training center in 2027.
