Olivia Miles is just ballin’ right now! The 2025 WNBA draft’s second overall pick has been stellar from the get-go in the pro league and has put the league on notice with her all-around performances on a star-studded Minnesota Lynx lineup. And her deep shot in Saturday’s game against the Seattle Storm put the superstar Napheesa Collier in celebration mode.
Two games ago, there was just one thing to pinpoint in her performances, and that was her 3-point shooting. Coming into the game against the Golden State Valkyries, she was shooting 11.1% from deep. However, she caught fire in that game, making eight 3-pointers to etch her name on the record for most 3-pointers by a rookie in a game.
Though Miles made just one deep shot against the Storm, it got Collier excited and up from the bench to celebrate the rookie. Underdog WNBA shared the clip on X and wrote:
“It’s the Olivia Miles show (again)”
Collier is out of the roster due to surgeries on both her ankles and is uncertain for now. Fans were also thrilled to see the veteran celebrating for the rookie, as one believed Miles had a long future with the team and wrote:
“Phee finally has her PG of the future”
Another fan appreciated the passing abilities of Miles and wrote:
“She is spacial!!! What a passer!!”
One Lynx fan believed that Collier’s return would unlock Miles on a different level and wrote:
“That pick and roll with Phee will hit different
This is just the beginning.”
Another believed that Miles would surely win the Rookie of the Year title this season and wrote:
“That pick and roll with Phee will hit different This is just the beginning.”
One user already put her in the “MVP conversations” and wrote:
“lets start the mvp conversations”

Olivia Miles scored 19 points with six rebounds and six assists, as the Lynx registered their seventh consecutive win of the season.
“I’ve been impressed”: Olivia Miles gets high praise from ESPN analyst
ESPN analyst Andraya Carter gave high praise to Olivia Miles after the Lynx battered the Storm, 88-68. Featuring on the postgame show, the analyst said:
“It’s hard for me to pick what my favorite thing has been with her game so far this season because I’ve been impressed by so many aspects of her game.”
Olivia Miles has shown up on both sides of the floor and is now shooting more than 34% from deep after a record-breaking game against the Valkyries. She is the top contender for the Rookie of the Year honor this season.
