Angel Reese Deletes Post Clapping Back at Haters Over Viral Missed 3-Pointer Amid Backlash

Angel Reese recently caught flak for her 3-point shooting after the Atlanta Dream lost against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Several users on social media commented on her shooting form, which has already been one of the most talked-about topics about the former LSU standout. However, this time, she decided to respond to a fan’s criticism.

The Dream center’s only deep shot in the 83-71 loss came in the second quarter, which was nowhere near the rim. That brought several trolls to the comments, while some gave her detailed feedback and suggestions for her shooting form.

A user on X shared brickcenter_’s Instagram post that showed a sequence in which Reese airballed a 3 while Caitlin Clark drained one on the other side. The user took a brutal dig at Reese and wrote:

“It’s mind-boggling that this woman gets paid to play basketball. This is literally the worst shooting form you could ever have.”

However, the center didn’t just watch it from the sidelines this time. In a now-deleted post on X, she responded to the fan and wrote:

“always a nobody bringing me up.”

The user, named Gain of Fauci, again replied with a harsh stat line for Reese and wrote:

“I’m sorry for making fun of your perfect shooting form and 9% 3-point percentage.”

Clark has extended her lead in her WNBA rivalry with Reese with another win, but the Fever superstar is still figuring out her outside shooting. She shot 2 of 8 from deep in the game and scored 17 points.

Angel Reese and Co. suffer a rare loss against Indiana Fever

Although Caitlin Clark has extended her head-to-head win-loss lead against Angel Reese in the WNBA, the Dream have been a better team overall. Allisha Gray, who leads the team in PPG, has taken up the scoring duties once again for the franchise.

Reese is a monster on the board and has taken every advantage of her size in the paint, leading the team with 11.1 rebounds. Along with Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada, the team has looked comfortable on both ends of the floor.

The loss to the Fever was a bad shooting night collectively for the whole team. Atlanta will have to move on from it soon and focus on other matchups. It’s a long season, and the Dream have taken a step toward title contention. They will next face the Washington Mystics.
