Fans on social media are abuzz about Sophie Cunningham’s latest Instagram post, which contained photographs of her wearing a black bikini.
The Indiana Fever star shared the pictures with the following caption:
“Workouts done by 8 am straight to bikinis, coconut oil, and UV 11 before noon? YEP, YES, YASSSS.”
The post went viral on Instagram, amassing more than 87,000 likes in less than 24 hours. Fans flooded the comments section.
“Oh YES,” one fan wrote.
“Caitlin Clark waiting for your comment,” another said.
“Love u lots sophie plz wear sunscreen 😭,” one fan advised.
“Can’t wait to see you on the court!” another fan commented.
“Are you fully healed up from your injury?” another questioned.
A few questioned Cunningham’s relationship status and whether she was dating Phoenix-based athletic trainer Frank Adams. Fans also pointed to the Instagram account @teejayraps, which claimed that Cunningham and Frank are together.
Fans also noted Cunningham’s appearance at GCU Basketball’s games. She spent the first six seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury, which would explain her support for a local basketball team.
There is no official confirmation of Sophie Cunningham being in a relationship with Frank Adams. The Fever star has kept her love life private, with her last known relationship being with Jacob Neidig. Their relationship reportedly ended in 2020.
The Indiana Fever risk losing Sophie Cunningham this summer
Sophie Cunningham will be an unrestricted free agent ahead of the 2026 WNBA season, making her future with the Indiana Fever uncertain. The Fever can only protect five players in the upcoming expansion draft.
Based on player performance last season and multiple reports, the team is expected to protect Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, and Makayla Timpson.
WNBA analyst Robin Lundberg suggested that protecting Cunningham may not be wise, since the Fever still risk losing her in free agency.
Cunningham played 30 games for the Fever last season, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, shooting 46.9%, including 43.2% from 3-point range. She last played in August before suffering a season-ending injury.
