WNBA All-Star Weekend is scheduled for July 24-25 this season, and the voting has already begun. However, fans spotted issues in the voting process. A few fans complained that players were being selected automatically on the portal.
One fan wrote:
“Please @wnba why is Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and some Aces players getting added to people’s vote on the W app when ppl did not select them? What sort of game are you guys up to? Guys pls be careful before submitting and unselect players you have no intention of voting for!!”
This led to speculation about discrepancies in the WNBA All-Star voting. One wrote:
“Why are Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark auto-populated on my All Star Ballot @WNBA????”
Another fan complained about the same issue, writing:
“The WNBA All-star voting machine must not be working properly today.
After I submitted my votes, it showed me my picks, and half were replaced by different players.
It got Angel, Allisha & Rhyne right, but it replaced Naz with Shepherd.”“It was on mine too,” another fan said. “I looked to see they were chosen already. Except A’ja. I chose her myself. But when I submitted it was what I chose. I will see tomorrow because if they are already chosen what is that.
One more fan highlighted the same issue:
“Just erase it or use ur previous vote unless u tryna change it”

Fans await WNBA All-Star weekend
The WNBA All-Star Weekend will kick off on Saturday, July 25, at the United Center in Chicago and will be broadcast on ABC. WNBA players, media, and fans will combine to select the participants of the All-Star Game.
Fans will account for 50 percent of the vote, while current players and a media panel will account for 25 percent each. Four guards and four forwards/centers will be selected for the All-Star squad, and fans’ votes will act as the tie-breaker if the scores match for two players.
