The Los Angeles Sparks superstar signed a one-year, $999,999 deal with the franchise in the offseason and will be an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

On Tuesday, Costabile suggested that Plum, who is currently sidelined due to her lower-left leg injury, was reportedly not interested in re-signing with the Sparks.

Let’s see which three teams could be in the race to land Plum next season.

    #1. The Golden State Valkyries

The Valkyries pack one of the best defenders in the league, and that has helped them reach a 19-8 record this season. Though Gabby Williams has led the team on the offense and scored some crucial points for the team, they would love to have someone like Kelsey Plum on the roster.

The team needs an anchor player in the backcourt who can lead from the top of the key and facilitate the offense.

    #2. The Washington Mystics

Sonia Citron has led the team in scoring and has facilitated the ball, averaging 17.2 points per game and 3.7 assists per game. Plum’s addition to the roster will give much-needed veteran support to the team and can mentor the young core of Kiki Iriafen, Citron and Georgia Amoore.

Lauren Betts is another young piece who can benefit a lot from Plum’s addition. Moreover, the team has enough cap space to accommodate her contract even if they have to offer a max deal.

    #3. The Seattle Storm

The Seattle Storm are another prospect for Kelsey Plum, given that the team has shown promise and has a strong frontcourt, led by Dominique Malonga. Though Natisha

That is where Plum can instantly add to the team and convert the Storm into a title contender.
