Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion ended their relationship last week, with the rapper saying she needed to prioritize herself after a breach of “trust, fidelity and respect.”
WNBA star Lexie Brown has been dragged into the controversy, with fans online claiming that Thompson allegedly cheated on Megan with Brown. Basketball fans also claimed Brown had made her X account private after the accusations.
However, there is no truth to these claims. Her account has been private for several years. Brown went private on her X account after facing backlash for comments she made about Maryland in 2024. She said the university treated her as if she had never played for them. After being criticized by fans, she explained why she made her account private.
“I’m locking my s**t up. I can’t stand people who don’t support me, always having something to say. Leave me alone,” she wrote. “Now if you’re an opp in here … You got issues. You can literally never see my tweets if you don’t want to.”
Lexie Brown returns to preseason action after missing the majority of the 2025 season with a chronic disease
Lexie Brown’s availability has been significantly limited over the last three seasons, as she continues to deal with Crohn’s disease. She played 12 games in 2023 and 16 games in 2024 with the Los Angeles Sparks before joining the Seattle Storm in 2025.
Her first campaign with the Storm was also cut short, with Brown playing 24 games. She last played for the team in October, then suited up for their first preseason game of 2026 on Saturday against the Golden State Valkyries.
Brown saw 25 minutes of action, finishing with nine points and three rebounds, shooting 3-for-6, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range. She has made 175 appearances in her career, averaging 5.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
