Shortly after Megan Thee Stallion seemingly accused Klay Thompson of cheating on her and ended their relationship, fans alleged that the Dallas Mavericks guard was involved with WNBA guard Lexie Brown.
Megan confirmed her split from Thompson to TMZ on Saturday, after a post on her Instagram story sparked speculation.
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet,'” she wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said in a statement to TMZ. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
After Megan’s statement, fans claimed that Thompson had unfollowed Lexie Brown on Instagram.
Brown addressed the speculation on Sunday, making it clear that she was not involved with the four-time champion. The Storm guard shared a statement on her Instagram story, distancing herself from the situation.
“I’ve seen what’s being said online, and I want to be clear, none of it is true, and I have no involvement in this situation,” Brown wrote.
Brown plays for the Seattle Storm in the WNBA and has been in the league since being drafted No. 9 in 2018. Thompson has yet to address the allegations.
Brown’s statement from Sunday has put the speculation to rest, with the WNBA star looking forward to the 2026 WNBA season.
