However, amid the celebrations and preparations of the big day, the internet personality shared a gut-wrenching update on social media about one of her close friends Kern’s demise. Her post garnered attention from several fellow celebrities, including WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark.
Losing a friend is difficult for anyone, and Jones’ friends from the basketball world understood that feeling, as they quickly gathered in the comment section. Her friend, Kern, who was also a college cheerleader at Iowa State University with Jones, died of mysterious circumstances during their bachelorette party in the Caribbean islands.
Hali’s fianceé shared a lengthy caption, giving tribute to her friend, whom she referred to as Kenzi. As per her message, Kenzi “loved and supported Tyrese and me through every chapter. She was our biggest cheerleader and showed up for me in every big moment in my life.”
Concluding her message to her friend, Jones wrote:

There is no official confirmation about the reason for Kern’s death, but the authorities have ruled out drugs or alcohol usage as the cause of death.
