Caitlin Clark’s Teammate Drops 3-Word Reaction as Angel Reese Bashes Critics

Caitlin Clark’s teammate, Raven Johnson, showed support for Angel Reese after the Atlanta Dream star took to Instagram to bash her critics. Reese posted pictures of her tunnel fit from Thursday’s game, 83-71 at Indiana. She had 11 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four turnovers on 4 of 9 shots.

Reese fell to a 5-1 record in the pros against Clark. Not being impactful in front of her biggest rival led to severe online trolling. In response, Reese captioned her latest post, saying:

“always a nobody bringing me up”

Johnson, who plays with Clark but has a great relationship with Reese stemming from their days in the SEC, dropped a three-word reaction on the post, saying:

    “Get into it 😍😍😍😍😍”

Reese had one of the biggest lowlights in the game after airballing a three-pointer from the corner. Several parody accounts on X roasted her for it, and the moment garnered millions of impressions and reactions.

An account named BricksCenter alone had 3.4 million views.

Angel Reese also missed a series of sitters under the rim that someone of her size is expected to convert. However, she got multiple shots blocked and even the smaller defenders found success deviating her shot attempts.

On the other hand, Caitlin Clark’s bounce-back game only made matters worse for Reese. Clark had 17 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and one block. She shot 6-for-17 but was key in running the offense.

WNBA reporter makes feelings clear on Angel Reese’s game

Angel Reese has struggled offensively throughout her WNBA career. Whether it’s missing layups, developing an outside game, or becoming a pinpoint passer, she’s yet to crack her best stretch on all three fronts. However, the Dream haven’t hesitated to use her in areas where she’s not the best.

After watching her shoot a three against the Fever on Thursday, which she airballed, WNBA reporter Robin Lundberg advised the Dream to coach Reese to her strengths.

“I feel like Angel Reese should be coached on her ability around the basket rather than taking outside shots,” he wrote on X. “Her shooting threes does the defense a favor.”

Reese playing outside allows the opposing team’s defense to clog the paint and avoid others from getting easy opportunities. They also don’t get the same chances at getting an offensive rebound, which is one of Reese’s strongest suits.

While she must expand her game, if she’s not there yet, it doesn’t make much sense for the Dream to put her in uncomfortable situations.
