Caitlin Clark All Smiles With Boyfriend Connor McCaffery After Fever Star’s Testing Week Finally Ends

Caitlin Clark was spotted with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after the Indiana Fever’s marquee clash against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday.

She was all smiles while talking to him briefly before heading to the locker room. McCaffery has often been present courtside over the years to support the Fever star during games this season.

McCaffery just returned to the Indiana Pacers organization as a player development coach for their G League team after spending two years on Butler’s coaching staff. With this move, he will be much closer to Clark, whom he has been dating for about three years.

Clark, who had struggled in the previous two games, was able to find her groove in this one. That foub trouble trend had become the elephant in the room. Now that she has put it behind her, the Fever need to build on it when they take on the New York Liberty on Saturday.

The Fever won the game 83-71 behind Kelsey Mitchell’s 25 points as they shook off a two-game losing streak. Aliyah Boston had 19 points, while Caitlin Clark finished with 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

The 24-year-old was playing through an illness and was seen feeling sick on the court. Clark stood in her place and appeared a little uneasy. And at halftime, she quickly went to the bench to throw up.

“I don’t know, I tried to eat some applesauce and then it just came up,” Clark said about the puking incident after the game. “And then everything else in my stomach also came up. I thought I was gonna stay down and then I found a trash can, thank God. I haven’t puked that much in a really long time. But then I felt fine. I felt light. So I was running around feeling good in the second half, but feel okay. Obviously, I’m losing my voice a little bit. But I’ll be good.”

The Fever will continue to monitor her status. Clark played 31 minutes on Thursday, well above her customary workload. The team is obviously hoping she can heal up from her nagging back injury treatment and be as close to 100% as possible. Her offensive contributions this season have been special. She passed Victoria Vivians for the sixth-most 3-pointers made in franchise history.
