Paige Bueckers couldn’t keep a straight face while walking through the tunnel before the Dallas Wings’ game against the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena on Friday.
Bueckers arrived at the arena wearing black cargo pants, a multi-colored top and black boots. As she made her way through the tunnel, she attempted multiple takes in order to try and capture a good pre-game fit video.
The WNBA released a video of Bueckers’ tunnel walk, showing her bursting into laughter each time. Before the third and final take, her girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, trolled Bueckers when she raised her right hand, revealing her armpit.
“Ew your armpit,” Fudd said. “Yeah fix your hair.”
Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers both went to UConn. They confirmed their relationship at the All-Star Weekend in July 2025. At the time, Fudd was still at UConn. Like Bueckers, she was picked first overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Azzi Fudd, Paige Bueckers Big Reason Behind Wings’ Great Start
The Dallas Wings are on a roll, thanks in part to the former Huskies duo of Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. They have won five of their last six games, improving to a 6-3 record and sitting third in the WNBA standings.
On Thursday, ESPN gave them an “A-” grade and acknowledged Fudd’s contribution.
“The Wings were bound to improve from last year, given the talent they acquired this offseason,” ESPN’s Alexa Philippou wrote. “Two of the factors behind their recent surge: The emergence of No. 1 pick Azzi Fudd, whose playing time and comfort level have increased in recent weeks, and who leads Dallas with a plus-27.2 net rating.”
Fudd’s dominant shooting has made her an important player in the backcourt for the Wings. She has a 67.4% effective field goal percentage and her defense has been exceptional too. Meanwhile, Bueckers is putting together another dominant season, averaging 18.3 points per game.
