Angel Reese has etched her name in some of the major WNBA records, and she is now on the brink of another. The Atlanta Dream recently ended their most difficult period of the season thus far after five consecutive losses. However, the center is improving her numbers with every game.
Reese’s biggest ability on the floor is to protect the paint and rebound the ball, along with putbacks and hook shots. And now, she is better than 90% of players in the league. Real App shared the update that Reese has more rebounds than 90% of players in the WNBA on X:
“Angel Reese already has more career rebounds than 90% of all players in WNBA history.”
The Dream center is leading the team with 11.8 rpg and has looked really good this month, with 12.5 ppg. She missed the game against the Portland Fire on Saturday due to a leg injury, and the team lost, 92-102.
In the next game against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Dream were back on track with Reese’s return and won, 101-92. She scored a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds, along with two assists and three steals. The team will now enjoy a short break before they face the Toronto Tempo.
Angel Reese comes up clutch in the win over the Sparks
Angel Reese had a big scoring game, with Allisha Gray, who scored 20 points, leading the team to a win. Moreover, the center sank a clutch bucket with a little over three minutes in regulation, that too a 3-pointer. Notably, she has received a lot of criticism in the past for her shooting form and dismal three-point percentage.
Everyone on the Dream bench was hyped after Reese made the only shot from deep on a difficult possession. WNBA shared the moment on X:
“CLUTCH ANGEL
Reese has ATL on its feet as she sinks one from behind the arc and hits a celly!”
The Sparks are also struggling a little due to Kelsey Plum’s absence from her left lower leg injury. The starters are dividing the duties among themselves for now, but Plum would have to return as soon as possible.
