After a not-so-friendly history in college, Raven Johnson and Caitlin Clark have become good buddies on and off the court. They have gotten so close that Johnson is now giving Clark’s boyfriend a nickname on social media.
When CC posted a birthday greeting for Connor McCaffery on Instagram, Johnson slid in the comments section and left a hilarious tag for the couple.
“Conrad and mamacita”

Clark and McCaffery reportedly started dating in 2023. That same year, Clark and Johnson had their infamous encounter in the March Madness tournament.
During the Final Four matchup between Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and Johnson’s South Carolina Gamecocks, CC waved off a wide open Johnson, as if to blatantly disregard her ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Johnson later admitted that she nearly quit the sport of basketball due to the online bullying stemming from this incident.
When the two-time national champion was drafted 10th overall by the Fever this year, there were questions surrounding her potential chemistry with Clark. Those questions, however, were quickly put to rest after photos and videos emerged of Clark and Johnson forming a bond.
As the 2026 WNBA season progressed, Johnson made it clear that she thought fondly of Clark, using terms like “Mamacita” and “GOAT” to refer to the Fever superstar. Now, it appears that the terms of endearment have been extended to Clark’s boyfriend as well.

Clark has made her presence felt at Pacers games over the years, while her good friend Tyrese Haliburton has returned the favor by watching the Fever in action.
