After missing Saturday’s game against the Portland Fire, Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese bounced back with what was arguably her best all-around performance this season. In a 101-92 win over the Sparks on Monday, Reese put up 23 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line. The three-time WNBA All-Star also chipped in 13 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
In her post-game interview, Reese described the feeling of returning to action on the Dream’s home floor.
“I just felt like I was on a blacktop. I felt like I was back home at Baltimore. The family was here, and the culture.”
In front of an appreciative crowd at Gateway Center, Reese tallied her 16th double-double of the 2026 campaign. No WNBA player has matched the number of double-doubles that Reese has put up this season.
After pulling off a four-game winning streak last month, the Dream fell into a spiral, losing five consecutive outings. Three of those losses were decided by five points or less.
Though Reese’s rebounding numbers have taken a slight dip, her 11.8 boards per game are still the league’s benchmark this season. At the same time, she is scoring a career-high 15.3 points per game to help the Dream’s offense hum.

With the Dream-Sparks game tied at 87, Reese broke the deadlock by hitting her second 3-pointer of the season. She followed this up with two made free throws that allowed Atlanta to create more separation in the last three minutes.
After the game, Reese’s teammate Allisha Gray reacted to Reese’s booming triple.
“I was happy. That was a big bucket. All I remember is me just crashing the board, and Angel knocked it down, squeezed the target.”
Gray also called Reese “a very unselfish superstar” who works hard at improving her skills off the court.
