Angel Reese Had a Message for Caitlin Clark’s Teammate Ahead of Fever vs Dream Clash

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been in an on-court rivalry since the two were inducted into the league in 2024. The rivalry goes way back in college, where Reese defeated Clark in the 2024 NCAA championship finals. The two are set to engage in a high-intensity matchup next, continuing their rivalry, as the Indiana Fever play the Atlanta Dream. Meanwhile, the forward seemingly had a message for a Fever rookie.

Before the Fever face the Dream on Thursday, June 4, Reese seemingly met with an old friend in the Fever squad, Raven Johnson. Johnson and Reese enjoy a healthy bond off the court, even though they have always played for rival teams.

Sharing a picture of the Fever rookie on social media, the Dream forward wrote:

“Saw my booskieee yesterday so proud of her.”

Meanwhile, Johnson and Caitlin Clark’s relationship has remained under scrutiny due to their tumultuous past in college. However, the Fever superstar earlier stated on Aliyah Boston’s podcast that she had a healthy bond with the rookie. Clark also admitted that they enjoy each other’s company and don’t let the past impact their on-court chemistry.

Angel Reese makes history before the matchup with Caitlin Clark

Before the Fever take on the Dream, Angel Reese has made WNBA history by reaching 900+ points and 900+ rebounds in just 71 games, fastest in the league thus far. Through seven games, the forward is averaging 13.1 points and 11 rebounds, leading the team in rebounds. Moreover, the Dream has had a stellar start to the season with a 5-2 record.

WNBA shared the update on Instagram and wrote:

“Angel Reese became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 900 career rebounds and the fastest player to reach 900+ points and 900+ rebounds, accomplishing both feats in just 71 games.”

On the other hand, Caitlin Clark has not had much success in the first eight games. Given constant changes in the Fever’s offensive strategies lately, her efficiency has taken a hit. In the last game against the Portland Fire, she scored just six points and six assists. However, the Dream gave a 20-point drubbing to the Fire in their last game, 86-66, as Reese led the team with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Reese certainly seems to be in a better place than Clark right now. However, in the WNBA, Clark has seen more success, both in team and individual accolades. Things can quickly change in the league, though. Fans will await the rivalry special game between the two powerhouses.
