Angel Reese knows what it’s like to face media scrutiny as a WNBA rookie. It was only natural, then, that she’d come to the aid of a first-year center who appeared to be dealing with the jitters in front of reporters.

After the Atlanta Dream blew out the Washington Mystics 109-77, Reese sat alongside rookie Madina Okot in the media availability. Sensing that Okot was feeling the nerves, Reese asked reporters to give her teammate some slack.

“Y’all getting her nervous. Chill on my girl. Hol’ up,” Reese said.

If anything, Reese’s words made Okot sweat a bit more. Still, the rookie managed to poke humor at her own situation.

“I’m never nervous when I’m around you,” Okot said.

Both players were in a joking mood as the Dream handily beat the Mystics to pick up their seventh win of the season. Okot (11 points, five rebounds, one assist) was one of five Dream players to finish with double-digit scoring.

As for Reese, she posted a season-high 17 rebounds to go along with 18 points and four steals. Thanks in part to Reese and Okot’s contributions in the shaded lane, the Dream (7-3) are currently tied in second place with the Las Vegas Aces and the Dallas Wings.

“Y’all Got My Man on the Jumbotron”: Angel Reese Reacts to Boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr. Getting Caught on Cam in Custom-Made Jersey

As Angel Reese and her Dream teammates dominated the Mystics, her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., was seen having a good time courtside.

When the Dream posted a clip of the Orlando Magic center sporting a custom-made Reese jersey, Reese couldn’t help but react in the comments section.

“damn yall got my man on the JUMBOTRONNN,” she said.

Not too long ago, Reese was showing up to Carter’s Orlando Magic games in the 2025-26 NBA regular season. Now, Carter is returning the favor.
