According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the UNLV 2024 football schedule is the sixth most difficult in the Mountain West. While that potentially sounds daunting, it ranks 107th in the nation, indicating a manageable run through the upcoming campaign. What should the expectation be for the Rebels this fall?
Having lost their starting QB to USC, the Rebels enter the season with former Holy Cross slinger Matt Sluka under center. The UNLV 2024 football schedule throws the new quarterback a Power Five test with a visit to the Houston Cougars in Week 1. They’ll also take a trip to face a strong Kansas Jayhawks side while welcoming Syracuse to Las Vegas.
Sandwiched in among those games and a clash with FCS Utah Tech is the Mountain West opener against a Fresno State Bulldogs team that should challenge for a championship. The Rebels get the Bulldogs and the Boise State Broncos in Allegiant Stadium, getting home-field advantage for two of the most significant games on their calendar.
