Tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, was recently spotted in New York City, surprising his fans during a time when the tennis world is focused on the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. The tournament started on March 1 and will conclude on March 15, 2026.
While many expected Nadal to be connected with the tennis events in California, he is busy with his new venture in the USA. The Spaniard was spotted in New York City for an interview for an upcoming series called ‘Difference Makers.’ They shot part 2 of the series in the Grand Central area, NYC, after shooting the first part of the series in Mallorca two weeks ago.
A few pictures and videos of Nadal and the series’ creator, Winston Greschtanowitz, are making rounds on the internet. One of the users shared a video on X with the caption:

This series is a portrait documentary series that features the former tennis star and his wife, Maria Francisca Perello. It highlights the Spaniard’s life outside the tennis court, focusing on the work he has done with the Rafael Nadal Foundation and the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.
The main theme of this series is to delve into the lives of famous personalities who have brought positive changes to their surroundings through their success.
When Rafael Nadal Opened Up About His Legacy Outside The Tennis Court
In a column for The Players’ Tribune in 2024, Rafael Nadal made his feelings known about how he wants to be known outside of the tennis court. Despite having 92 singles titles and two Olympic gold medals, the Spaniard said that he doesn’t want his legacy to be associated with his shenanigans on the court. Revealing that he wants to be remembered as someone who always treated everyone with respect, he said:
“I hope that my legacy is that I always tried to treat others with deep respect. Look around you and notice the people you admire… how they treat people, what you love about them. Act like them, and you will probably live a happy life. I carried that lesson with me into every match I ever played; I was not fueled by hatred of my rivals, but a deep respect and admiration. I simply tried to wake up every morning and get a little bit better, so I could keep up with them. It didn’t always work! But I tried… I always tried,” said Rafael Nadal.
After an illustrious career, Rafael Nadal retired from tennis in 2024 after competing at the Davis Cup finals.
