Venus Williams once again suffered an early loss, this time at the Miami Open. The American shared a message after the upset that drew a reaction from her husband, Andrea Preti, who dropped a sweet message, exuding pride in the former World No. 1.
Williams opened her Miami Open campaign on March 19, where she faced Francesca Jones. The seven-time Major winner failed to take even one set, as her opponent claimed a straight-set (7-5, 7-5) victory. This American is 0-6 this season in singles.
She also competed in the women’s doubles alongside Leylah Fernandez. However, she faced the same fate as singles and lost to Erin Routliffe and Asia Muhammad in the opening round.
Williams opened up about her experience in Miami, posting a bunch of pictures from the tournament. Along with this, she penned a heartfelt message in the caption that read:

Her husband, Preti, was quick to show support toward his wife by penning a sweet message in the comments section.
“So proud of you amore !! All the world are watching how good you are playing and how much love you receive from the crowd ! Blessed 🩵🩵🩵🫶🏻,” wrote Preti.

Andrea Preti consoled his wife with a loving and encouraging message on social media. Taking to his Instagram story, he posted an adorable picture of them on a yacht and penned a message that read:
