Venus Williams’ Husband Andrea Preti Pens Beautiful Message Consoling Her Amid 0-5 Start To 2026

Venus Williams’ husband, Andrea Preti, recently shared a heartfelt message for his wife, consoling her amid a 0-5 start to her 2026 season. The former World No. 1 made a comeback during the Citi Open 2025 after a 16-month hiatus.

Williams opened her 2026 season by competing at the ASB Classic, where she suffered a heartbreaking early exit in the first round against Magda Linette. Following this, she competed in four other tournaments, including the Hobart International, Australian Open, ATX Open, and the Indian Wells, where she faced the same fate as her season opener.

Her most recent outing came at the BNP Paribas Open on March 6, where she lost to Diane Parry in the first round, who claimed a 6-3, 6-7(7), 6-1 win. This loss took her losing streak to 0-5, triggering disappointment in the American. Amid these tough times, Williams’ husband, Preti, brought a sense of comfort to her by penning a beautiful message on social media, consoling her counterpart.

Taking to his Instagram story, he posted an adorable picture of them and penned a caption that read:

“I know this is a difficult moment, but I know how strong you are. You’re the kind of woman who may fall, but always rises stronger than before. Even when everything seems to be against you, there is a determination inside you that nothing can ever take away. Keep believing in yourself, your moment will come, and it will be even greater than you imagine. ✨AP,” wrote Preti.

Venus Williams Opened Up About Her Loss at the Indian Wells

After her first-round loss at Indian Wells, Venus Williams sat for a press conference, where she weighed in on her loss, blaming the climate for her form. Expressing dismay over her loss, she said that losing is never fun; however, the conditions weren’t suitable for her. In addition to this, she stated the same reason for her loss in Austin.

Opening up about how she has played her last two matches in difficult conditions, she said:

“Of course losing isn’t fun, but it’s great to play in front of a home crowd. They were behind me the whole way, and that was really fun for that. Well, I think today is not the kind of day that you want to assess. The conditions are impossible. Also, my match in Austin the conditions were impossible. I have played the last two matches in very difficult conditions. In Austin I refused to relent and change my game and I lost very quickly. Today I tried to adjust. It’s not easy. You can’t trust anything that you do out there,” said Venus Williams.

    She added:

“So you should get out there and play in that wind and you’ll tell me too if you can create some magic or if you can be perfect or not.”

Venus Williams further shared a message for her fans, thanking them for their support and calling them ‘amazing.’
