Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula recently highlighted their astonishment at World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka’s diamond show at the Indian Wells and Miami Open. Following Sabalenka’s engagement to her longtime boyfriend, entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis, on March 3, 2026, the Belarusian tennis player was seen flaunting her ring at the BNP Paribas Open.
The engagement ring was custom-made by US-based jeweler Isabela Grutman, which weighs more than 12 carats. It features a stunning oval-cut diamond set in platinum, with emerald accents (Sabalenka’s favorite stone). The emeralds are set delicately beneath the main diamond.
According to reports, the ring could be worth between $500,000 and $1.5 million. She cruised through the finals against 2026 Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina at Indian Wells.
However, it was her engagement ring on the ring finger that drew massive attention from fans as well as the fellow tennis players, including Pegula and Keys, who stated their amazement in The Player’s Box Podcast. When asked whom among the WTA players is living in a high tax bracket, Pegula replied:
Aryna Sabalenka Opens Up On Her Engagement Surprise
Aryna Sabalenka opened up on how her fiance Georgios Frangulis surprised her. The Greek-Brazilian businessman popped the question in front of an arrangement of flowers and candles beside a pool, which was decorated with white rose petals. Sabalenka highlighted that it was under wraps for her; the tennis ace’s team was well aware of Frangulis’ plan.
“Yeah, the whole team knew. My agent told me that I have a very important meeting for 15 minutes,” Sabalenka said. “Just put on something nice. She wasn’t pushing enough for me to put the makeup on, and I was super tired in the evening. I was, like, okay, I’m not going to do that. I’ll just wear jeans.”
