Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently posted an adorable ‘Get Ready With Me’ video with his second daughter, Adira River Ohanian. Williams and Ohanian’s elder daughter is Olympia Ohanian, who was born on September 1, 2017.
After the birth of their first daughter, the legendary tennis player and the former Reddit co-founder tied the knot on November 16, 2017. After almost 5 years of their wedding, she gave birth to their second daughter in August 2023, and ever since then they have been sharing cute videos of their daughters on social media.
Most recently, Ohanian posted a wholesome ‘GRWM’ video with his two-year-old daughter, who was seen giving him fashion advice. She was seen adorably picking clothes for her father from the wardrobe, and along with the video, the Athlos NYC meet founder posted a picture of him in the outfit selected by his daughter.
He penned a caption in the tweet that read:
“GRWM @AdiraOhanian edition – styled by my 2 year old.”
In January this year, the former tennis player posted a picture of herself practicing tennis, and along with her, her two daughters were also playing in the background. Olympia is seen making prominent movements on the court, while Adria is barely making any movement while playing.
When Serena Williams opened up about the life of working mothers
In 2020, Serena Williams sat for a conversation with Today, where she discussed the hardships of working mothers. Opening up about how their hard work inspires her to keep going, she said:
“I think of what they do literally every single day to support their family and to be a rock for their family. And it helps me keep going. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think that women are just really amazing,” said Serena Williams.
She further opened up about how she considers herself privileged by getting to decide her own schedule and to spend time with her daughter.
“I don’t know how moms do it. I work a lot, and I can’t imagine working a full day like most working women and then go back to their babies. I’m fortunate enough that I have days off, and I get to make my schedule and then can spend the rest of the day with her. And that’s still hard.”
Revealing the hardest moment with her daughter, she also said:
“The hardest part is walking out of the house while she’s crying because she wants to be with me. It’s very hard and makes me vulnerable and upset,” she said. “Even in Australia, my heart was aching when I left the door.”
