Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, watched his cousin Sev Ohanian’s co-produced horror movie “Sinners” win four Oscars at the 2026 Academy Awards. Directed by Ryan Coogler, “Sinners” had a record-breaking 16 nominations.
Michael B. Jordan won the Best Actor award, Coogler was honored for Best Original Screenplay, and Autumn Durald Arkapaw was given the award for Best Cinematography. Sinners also won the Oscar for Best Original Score.

Watching the Academy Awards from the comfort of her home, Alexis Ohanian gave a shout-out to Sev for his movie “Sinners.”
“WTG Brother!!!!” he wrote.
While Sinners received the most nominations, another film, “One Battle After Another,” actually won six awards.
Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Reacts To Michael B. Jordan Winning First Oscar
Michael B. Jordan won his first Oscar at the recently concluded 2026 Academy Awards. He played two twin brothers, Smoke and Stack, marking the first time a dual role actor won an Academy Award. When he walked up to the stage to receive his first award, he was honored with a standing ovation.
Alexis Ohanian appreciated Jordan’s role in the movie Sinners as he became only the sixth Black actor in history to win Best Actor. His win came after years of acclaimed roles in films like Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Black Panther.
“At last!!!! Michael B. Jordan. So happy for you dude,” Ohanian wrote.
Ohanian had actually been praising Jordan’s performance long before the Oscars. When he first watched Sinners, he said:
“Saw Sinners last night. Really well done. Intense AF. Great storytelling and soundtrack. MBJ did his thing 2x as twins. This will do numbers.”
Alexis Ohanian’s wife, Serena Williams, also reacted, posting a video of the acceptance speech and saying she was “so happy.”
