Coco Gauff & Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian React Emphatically To Michael B Jordan Winning Best Actor Oscar For ‘Sinners’

Coco Gauff and Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, reacted to Michael B. Jordan winning his first Oscar.

Jordan won the Academy Award for Best Actor at the 98th Academy Awards for his role in Sinners. He played twin brothers Smoke and Stack and became the first Oscar-winning actor to win the award for playing dual roles in the same film. Ryan Coogler’s Sinners received 16 nominations and won four Oscars overall.

On Sunday, Gauff, who retired in the third round of the recently concluded Indian Wells Open, shared an insight from her theatre room, where the Academy Awards broadcast was playing. The picture she captured was of Jordon taking to the podium and talking about his journey. The top-seeded American added a one-word reaction:

    “deserved.”

Coco Gauff’s Frightening “Sinners” Film Watching Incident

‘Sinners’ is a horror movie that has received incredible ratings throughout the world. The movie has intense scenes involving vampires and violence. It’s scary and the incident in Madrid made it more frightening for Coco Gauff, who shared her awkward experience when she went to watch the film with her father during the 2025 clay-court season.

Since the theatre was extremely crowded, Gauff and her father, Corey, couldn’t find seats next to each other, forcing them to get separated. Being alone in the theater rather than with her father made it feel more unsettling. Despite that, Gauff said the film was good overall.

“sinners is fire! my theater in Madrid was packed ! my dad and I couldn’t even sit together, not complaining I‘m a movie theater lover and it’s good to see theaters packed out again!” she wrote.

Gauff is now looking forward to preparing for the upcoming Miami Open. So far this season, things haven’t gone down well for the American as her serve struggles have continued to impact her matchups when facing top-ranked opponents.
