    Jannik Sinner Leaves Roger Federer, Pete Sampras & Novak Djokovic In Dust After Reaching Miami Open Final

    Jannik Sinner recently surpassed tennis legends, including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Pete Sampras, while rewriting history. He clinched the spot in the final round of the Miami Open by surpassing Federer, Djokovic, and Sampras in reaching 10 ATP Masters 1000 ultimate round on hard court by taking fewer main draws.

    So far, Sinner has reached 10 final rounds of ATP Masters 1000 events. He has achieved this feat by competing in 26 tournaments. The Italian tennis star has surpassed the Swiss maestro, who recorded the feat by participating in 30 tournaments.

    The 14-time Grand Slam champion Sampras also vied in 30 tournaments to make it to the final round 10 times. The American legend and the master of fast courts is followed by the Serbian tennis King, Djokovic, with a very close gap of 31 tournaments.

    Sinner’s entry into the final round of the 2026 Miami Open is the 10th time he will be entering the ATP Masters 1000 last round. Before this, he entered and won the Indian Wells title by defeating Daniil Medvedev.

    He has previously cruised to the final rounds of the Miami Open in 2021, 2023, and 2024. His other appearances in the ATP Masters 1000 final round came during the 2023 Canadian Open, 2024 Cincinnati Open, 2024 Shanghai Masters, and 2025 Paris Masters.

    Sinner is narrowly surpassed by Andre Agassi, who reached 10 ATP Masters 1000 final round by competing in 25 rounds.

    Jannik Sinner States His Opinion On Winning Grand Slams And Other ATP Events

    Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6(4) on Friday evening, extending his record to 32 consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1000 events. In a media interview after the face off, when asked about the level of difficulty in winning the Grand Slams and ATP events, the Italian tennis sensation said:

    “Grand Slams are always different. I feel like Grand Slams are best of five and also in an emotional part you feel it a bit more. But everything is very tough in our sport. Winning in every level. Even 250’s or 500’s are tough, tough tournaments to win, so every victory is great.”

    Sinner will square off Jiri Lehecka in the final round. If he dominates the round, Sinner will enter the elite list of winning Sunshine Double, which includes Jim Courier, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras, Marcelo Rios, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
