Madison Keys secured her third Eastbourne Open title with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Tatjana Maria on Saturday. Fellow Americans Jessica Pegula and Taylor Townsend were among those who dropped sweet comments online, congratulating Keys on her victory.
Keys began her Eastbourne campaign with a win against Talia Gibson. She also defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, McCartney Kessler, and Petra Marcinko en route to the final.
Shortly after her win, Keys shared pictures of herself posing with the trophy on Instagram. The caption of her post read:
“Number 11🏆 Congratulations @tatjanamaria87 on a great week and thank you to everyone for all the support. Love you Eastbourne 🤍”
The post caught the attention of several players, including Keys’ podcast co-host, Pegula. The World No. 4 left two comments praising her compatriot.

Keys claimed her first Eastbourne Open title as a teenager in 2014, and her second in 2023.
Madison Keys opened up about winning the Eastbourne Open title
After defeating Tatjana Maria in the final, Madison Keys delivered an emotional champion’s speech during the trophy ceremony.
“It’s been such a special place for me to play here in Eastbourne. I won my very first title here many, many years ago, and to be able to win it for the third time means the absolute world to me, and to be able to do it in front of such amazing tennis fans is just icing on the cake,” said Keys.
She added:
“And last but not least, thank you to my team, especially my husband. I know that we’ve had lots of ups and downs, but it’s always so incredible to be able to get to do this together, and it’s amazing to be in the winner’s circle again.”
After a successful run at the Eastbourne Open, Madison Keys will open her Wimbledon campaign on Tuesday against Kayla Day.
