    “Imagine Calling Maja Chwalinska’s Tennis Ugly” – Fans Rally Behind Pole As French Open Success Also Breeds Trolls

    After delivering impressive performances at the French Open, Maja Chwalinska has now advanced to the finals of the tournament. Following her recent success, her fans cheered the loudest for her online, taking a dig at the trolls who questioned her form.

    Chwalinska kickstarted her French Open run on Monday, May 25, when she got the better of Qinwen Zheng in the very first round. Following this, she bested players, including Elise Mertens, Maria Sakkari, Diane Perry, Anna Kalinskya, and more to progress to the semifinals. In this round she met Diana Shnaider, where she yet again produced a dominant performance, claiming a straight-sets 7-6(4), 6-4 victory.

    With this achievement, he has now advanced to the finals, where she will face Mirra Andreeva on June 6 at the Philippe-Chatrier Court. After her recent win at Roland Garros, her fans rallied behind her success and supported her online by slamming her trolls who mocked her game.

    One of the users on X called Chwalinska’s tennis ugly. Defending the player, one of her fans stood up for her, replying to the troll:

    “Imagine calling Maja tennis ugly.”

    Another follower of the Polish player called out her haters on X, writing:

    “Anyone that thinks maja’s tennis is unappealing simply doesn’t know ball. her tennis is great, especially on clay.”

    Lauding her form on court, another one of her fans penned:

    “This is real tennis idc😂✌🏻😂✌🏻none of that boring baselining nonsense that EVERRRRREYYYYBOOODYYY does these days.”

    Along similar lines, another fan chimed in:

    “You have to just watch her matches with ass if you don’t see how intelligent her tennis is.”

    Maja Chwalinska opened up about her French semifinal match and the crowd support 

    After making her way to the finals of the French Open, Maja Chwalinska sat for a post-match press conference, where she discussed her semifinal round against Anna Kalinskya. Calling it a ‘challenging’ match, she exuded pride in herself for her performance. Stating that she was ‘happy’ with the win, she said:

     

    “It was such a challenging match for sure. Uh, mentally and physically, I feel like the first set was such a battle, you know. Um, we definitely gave our all. Um, so yeah, I’m definitely very proud of the effort of my effort and just super happy with the win, of course,” said Maja Chwalinska.

    In addition to this, she was also asked about what the crowd support meant to her, and responding to this, she said:

    “I mean I was surprised and um I mean great moment for me, you know. I really appreciate it and I’m grateful for it. I definitely feel like the crowd helped me a lot and gave me a lot of energy today.”

    With Maja Chwalinska reaching the finals of the French Open, she has now become only the second qualifier in the Open Era to reach a Grand Slam singles final, and if she wins the finals, it will be the very first Grand Slam title of her career.
