Emma Raducanu is the newest Global Brand Ambassador of UNIQLO’s LifeWear, who previously sponsored tennis icons like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Kei Nishikori as well.
This means the former US Open champion has officially ended her longstanding partnership with Nike, which began in her teenage years and saw her win the 2021 US Open title in Flushing Meadows.
The Japanese brand first teased the signing with a social media post captioned:
“We are proud to welcome a new face.”
It was a photo of a tennis star in a new gear, but it was not known that it was Raducanu. The brand made the official unveiling of their brand ambassador on Tuesday with the following post:
“Introducing Emma Raducanu, our newest Global Brand Ambassador and Britain’s top-ranked female tennis player. Emma will champion UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy, which is committed to pursuing excellence, making meaningful contributions to society, and empowering the next generation.”
The photo was of Raducanu wearing a blue tennis gear from UNIQLO’s Lifewear.
All There is to Know About Emma Raducanu’s Partnership With Uniqlo
Emma Raducanu will debut her UNIQLO gear at the Indian Wells Open in California. While neither side has fully disclosed the contract, insiders suggest it could be around $3.5 million per year plus performance-based bonuses.
It’s also important to note that Uniqlo does not traditionally make specialized tennis footwear, so Raducanu may pursue a separate shoe deal with another brand. She has deals with brands like Dior, Porsche, Evian, British Airways, and Tiffany & Co.
Emma Raducanu is the top-ranked British player, who is searching for her second title on the tour after winning the 2021 US Open.
To begin the 2026 season, Raducanu parted ways with coach Francisco Roig to refresh her competitive approach. She represented Great Britain in the United Cup where she withdrew from her first match and later lost to Maria Sakkari in three sets.
At the 2026 Australian Open, she won her first-round match against Mananchaya Sawangkaew but was then beaten by Anastasia Potapova in the second round.
She reached the finals of the Winners Open but was defeated by Sorana Cîrstea in the end. In Doha, she suffered a first-round exit and in Dubai, she lost against Antonia Ružić in the first round.
It remains to be seen if her new partnership brings a change in fortune for the Brit ahead in the tour.
