Carlos Alcaraz has accomplished another title in the 2026 season. After defeating Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open finals, the Spaniard has found it easy in Doha, winning the Qatar Open on Saturday.
The World No. 1 extended his unbeaten start to the 2026 season by defeating Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-1 in the final to claim the championship. To reach here, Alcaraz needed just 50 minutes to bring his tally to 26 tour-level titles.
Alcaraz shared his latest title win on Instagram, paving the way for congratulatory comments. Coco Gauff, who recently suffered a heartbreaking loss against Elina Svitolina in the semifinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships, was simply amazed with Alcaraz’s performance.
“Unreal,” she commented.
It has been a dream start for Alcaraz to begin the year. He has won tournaments he has participated in despite the fact that he’s currently without his longtime head coach Juan Carlos Ferrero to begin this campaign.
“It’s been a really strong start to the year,” Alcaraz said via ESPN.

Alcaraz was extremely satisfied with his performance in the final, putting the match in his top 10 and 15 all-time in terms of level.
“I played great, I played amazing,” he said. “I was aggressive, I didn’t make mistakes, I was serving and returning well. I’d put this in my Top 10 or Top 15 matches in terms of level.
Alcaraz acknowledged Fills wasn’t at his best, giving a dominating result in favor of the Spaniard.
“He did a lot of his mistakes today. I just tried to stay focused on myself,” the World No. 1 added.
Despite achieving so much as a player for his age, Alcaraz is mature enough to understand that there’s always room for improvement.
“I’m a totally different person and player now,” Alcaraz said. “I’m trying to grow up, get more mature, and see myself in a position I really like to be in. That’s the real success for me. There’s always room for improvement, always weaknesses to work on.”
With the win, Alcaraz has built a commanding 3,200-point lead over World No. 2 Jannik Sinner.
