The American sensation recently showed her lighter side as she tuned into the popular show ‘Heated Rivalry’ and shared her personal rankings of the contestants.
Gauff’s recent outing came at the Australian Open, which, after an impressive run, ended on January 27 in the quarterfinal round. She fell against Elina Svitolina, who controlled the match with her staunch skills and earned a two-set (6-1, 6-2) win, making her way to the semi-finals.
Currently, Gauff is in her rest-mode, and apart from her performance at the first major of the year, she is also making headlines due to her craze for the TV drama Heated Rivalry. Days after inviting the protagonists of the show to the Australian Open, she recently took to X to reveal how she rated the participants based on their performances, giving fans a glimpse into her preferences.
She posted a video on the official channel of the Australian Open, where, leading her list as the clear favorite was Ilya Romanov, who earned the coveted No. 1 ranking. Close behind was Shane Hollander, who secured the No. 2 spot, followed by Svetlana at No. 3 and Maria at No. 4. The fifth spot was taken by Kip Grady, landing him right in the middle of Gauff’s rankings.
The world No. 5-ranked Elena at No. 6, suggesting she had a decent impression. The next 4 ranks were secured by Scott Hunter, Rose Landry, Hayden Pike, and Alexei Rozanov, respectively. Here is the full video of Gauff ranking the actors:
Coco Gauff on What She Was Going Through Emotionally in the Quarterfinal Match at the Australian Open
After her loss against Elina Svitolina in the Australian Open’s quarterfinal, Coco Gauff sat for a press conference, where she was asked about the ins and outs of the match. One of the reporters questioned her about what she was going through emotionally and mentally when she felt that her strengths weren’t really doing their thing.
Replying to this, the 21-year-old said that after initially being positive, she got visibly frustrated when the game didn’t go according to her plan. (1:45 onwards)
