Coco Gauff is all set to commence her second-round Australian Open match against Olga Danilovic at the Margaret Court Arena at Melbourne Park on Wednesday. The two-time Grand Slam champion swept past her first-round opponent, Kamilla Rakhimova, in straight sets, thereby making a strong case for a title run in the first Major of the year.
While the 21-year-old American has enthralled tennis fans with her excellent gameplay in recent years, her off-court endeavors are no less impactful.
Before her second-round clash, Gauff made a generous donation to the UNCF, which helps underprivileged kids realize their dreams by providing scholarships for various educational programs in America. This is the second time Gauff has made a substantial donation to the foundation through her namesake scholarship program.
Gauff’s mother, Candi, didn’t hold back in expressing her admiration for her daughter for the gesture that’s going to change the futures of countless aspirational kids. Sharing the post on her Instagram story, Gauff’s mother wrote, “@cocogauff ❤️.”

Gauff donated $150,000 to UNCF, a significant increase from what she donated last year ($100,000). Thanking her for her kind gesture, the education organization said it was proud to receive the donations from Gauff.
Coco Gauff Expressed Her Joy Over Donating Money For a Good Cause
Earlier this year, the foundation awarded 10 scholarships to eligible students from six universities through the tennis star’s scholarship program. The move was to help them pursue valuable education and realize their dreams in various fields.
“I am honored once again to give back and support the incredible work that UNCF does to help HBCU students get to and through college. Education has the power to change lives, and I hope this gift will help students achieve their dreams. My hope is that this scholarship gives more young black players the confidence to chase their dream, knowing they have a strong community behind them and a bright future ahead,” Gauff said.
In 2026, Gauff has been exceptional on the court, posting a 4-1 record, with her only loss coming in a group game against Team Spain at the United Cup. She is expected to dispatch Danilovic with relative ease and move to the third round of the Australian Open.
