Cruz Hewitt, the son of former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt, was spotted sitting alongside Swiss legend Roger Federer’s twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, on Tuesday evening at the Australian Open.

The trio were seated courtside to watch two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner take on Hugo Gaston. Hewitt, 17, and the 15-year-old Federer twins were seen sharing laughs and enjoying several light-hearted moments throughout the match.

Currently ranked No. 720 in the world, Hewitt competed in the Australian Open qualifying rounds last week, where he was defeated in straight sets by 21-year-old American Michael Zheng.

Despite the early singles exit, Hewitt is set to feature in both the doubles and mixed doubles events. He will partner with James Duckworth in the men’s doubles, with the Australian pair facing 10th seeds Yuki Bhambri and Andre Goransson.

Hewitt will also compete in the mixed doubles alongside fellow Australian Taylah Preston, 20, with the duo scheduled to take on second seeds Luisa Stefani and Marcelo Arevalo.

Federer and Hewitt: A Rivalry Spanning 27 Meetings and 5 Finals

Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt faced each other 27 times during their professional careers. Their first meeting came in 1999 in Lyon, where Hewitt claimed a solid victory. Hewitt won the first three encounters, with Federer securing his maiden win over the Australian in Basel in 2000.

The rivals met for the first time at a Grand Slam at the 2004 Australian Open, where Federer defeated Hewitt in the fourth round and went on to claim his first title in Melbourne. Later that year, they faced off again in the US Open final, with Federer winning convincingly.

In total, Federer and Hewitt met eight times at Grand Slam tournaments, with Federer winning all eight encounters. They faced each other in five finals, with Federer holding a narrow 3–2 edge. Their final match came in the 2014 Brisbane International final, where Hewitt emerged victorious in three sets.
