Ben Shelton Lost For Words After Girlfriend Trinity Rodman Steals His Viral ‘Dialed-In’ Celebration in Washington Spirit Win

Ben Shelton fell short of words after his girlfriend and soccer player, Trinity Rodman, stole his ‘dialed-in’ celebration after a recent win of her team, Washington Spirit. Shelton is currently gearing up for his upcoming tennis tournaments.

Shelton was last seen in action at the Madrid Open, where he suffered an early loss against Dino Prizmic in the first round. The latter dominated the matchup, claiming a 6-4, 6-7(7), 7-6(5) victory. While the American was competing at the Madrid Open, his girlfriend, Rodman, is currently competing at the 2026 NWSL regular season.

Her recent outing was on Friday, where her team locked horns with Kansas City Current. In the game, she recorded her first goal of the 2026 season and an assist to lead the team to victory in front of a sellout home crowd. After securing her goal, she paid tribute to her boyfriend by performing his signature ‘dialed in’ telephone celebration.

Her clip of her gesture is currently making rounds all over the internet, and it caught Shelton’s attention. He reposted the gesture on his Instagram story, and falling short of words, he added the emoji:

The American introduced the ‘dialed in’ phone celebration during the 2023 US Open, where he defeated Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals.

Ahead of the early loss at Madrid Open, Shelton competed at the BMW Open, where he claimed the title against Flavio Cobolli.

Ben Shelton Made Feelings Known About Winning BMW Open Title

Ben Shelton produced a bunch of dominant performances at the BMW Open, where he bested players, including Joao Fonseca, Alex Molten, and more, to advance to the finals. In the final round, he met Flavio Cobolli on April 19 at the center court and delivered an impressive performance, registering a 6-2, 7-5 win.

Following this victory, the World No. 6 made his feelings known about his win in the post-match interview, stating that he came out at a ‘high level.’ He said:

“I came out at a really high level. I have done that before against him, but the toughest thing is maintaining it, as he raises his level. I was able to do that in the second set, hanging in there when he played some great tennis, and I came through to win it in straight sets.

“I am happy with my performance this week. I got better and better as the week went on, and I am pleased with the work my team put in here.”

Ben Shelton and Rodman have been dating since March 2025, and they confirmed their relationship with a hard launch on Instagram.
