Ben Shelton’s transformed image during a fun episode of the Nothing Major Show and the hilarious response from the all-women hosts of the Player’s Box podcast to it has resurfaced once more. During the ATP Tinder segment , Sam Querrey displayed several images of men’s singles players who appeared to have transformed into women.
Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk were tasked with judging which images blended well and which did not. The first image was immediately of Shelton, with only a slight change in his hairstyle. Seeing the image, the WTA pros burst into laughter. “It’s too much Ben,” Pegula said.
Subsequently, the players reflected on similarly morphed images of some other ATP pros, including Rafael Nadal, Arthur Fils, Gael Monfils, John McEnroe, John Isner, Andrey Rublev, and Joao Fonseca. Among the above-mentioned names, only Nadal, Monfils, Fils, and Fonseca’s images received unanimous approval from the players.
On the playing end, both Shelton and Pegula had been active in the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells since last week in their respective disciplines. The tournament is the first major event of the Sunshine Swing, followed by the Miami Open.
The video was posted again by the Nothing Major podcast yesterday in light of their ATP Hottie Coach bracket, which came to an end recently with Alcaraz’s brother Alvaro winning.
Jessica Pegula Stays in Contention for the Title at Indian Wells While Ben Shelton Exits
Ben Shelton suffered a shock defeat at the hands of fellow American Learner Tien in the R3 of the BNP Paribas Open on Sunday, subsequently ending his run in Indian Wells. The reigning Dallas Open champion was battling physical strain from the outset of the event, but put up a valiant fight against Tien before going down in three sets.
Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula continues to march on towards the summit clash at Indian Wells as she entered the round of 16 after defeating Jelena Ostapenko in the third round. The reigning Dubai Open champion will take on Belinda Bencic in the pre-quarterfinals on Wednesday, in what is anticipated to be a mouth-watering clash.
