Ben Shelton’s girlfriend, American women’s soccer sensation Trinity Rodman, recently posted a vlog from the lovebirds’ time together in New Zealand in the buildup to the 2026 Australian Open. At one point of the vlog, Rodman turned rather naughty as she drooled over how ‘hot’ her ATP star boyfriend is.
Following a practice session at the ASB Classic in Auckland, Shelton and Rodman returned to their hotel. Here, the Washington Spirit forward touched on how girls tend to go wild when her boyfriend takes his shirt off at public practice sessions. Claiming she can relate to how most girls feel because she feels the same due to how physically attractive the World No. 9 is, the 23-year-old said on camera:
“It was a very windy practice. Ben ended up taking his shirt off in the end. Zoo-Wee Mama am I right ladies? I get it! Because the times where he takes his shirt off there, and there are girls like, ‘Oh my God!’, I’ll be like, ‘It’s annoying’, and then I realize, it’s me. I get it, because he’s f**king hot!”
On the tennis front, Shelton’s campaign in Auckland began on a promising note, as the American top seed dispatched Francisco Comesana in straight sets. However, Shelton himself was ousted from the ATP 250 event in the next round by an in-form Sebastian Baez. The American subsequently headed to Melbourne for the Australian Open, where he finished as a quarterfinalist.

Shelton registered wins over Ugo Humbert, Dane Sweeny, Valentin Vacherot and Casper Ruud to set up a last-eight clash against Jannik Sinner at the 2026 Australian Open. However, the American, despite trying his best to keep pace with the World No. 2 Italian and the 2024 and 2025 champion in Melbourne, ultimately lost the match in straight sets.
Later, the 23-year-old attended a post-match press conference. Here, Shelton opined that he feels himself getting better with time, saying:
“I’m certainly not discouraged from a performance like this, but I want to see myself get out in front rather than falling behind. I know how I feel when I get out in front at Slams – I feel untouchable. I guarantee the other guys at the top feel the exact same. I’m not complete yet, but I feel myself becoming more complete.”
At the 2025 Australian Open, Shelton and Sinner met in the semifinals, but it was the Italian who won the match. The American has now lost the last 22 sets he has played against the four-time Major champion and former World No. 1.
